I'm Amazed

Sometimes God just amazes me with how everything works together.

My fiancé and I spent Sunday afternoon with our pastor. Three hours with the pastor and his wife flew by. And we got more things in place.

Then today, my fiancé texted me while I was still at work. He had had some issues with his phone company, so he canceled the line. The company asked him to pay the early termination fees, which was only right. But today, he received a letter that told him he only had to pay a small amount, and the phone company would pay the termination fee. All because I had complained to the FCC 2 months ago!

Then, a little while ago I checked my finances, and found more money in my account than I had anticipated. Now, normally I keep a close eye on my bank accounts so I was immediately amazed. I took a closer look and realized money from my tax return-that I filed less than a week ago.

God is certainly blessing us! And may we share His goodness!

Quick Post

Its been a busy past couple of weeks, and I've failed to post a new post! So I'm going to get one out.

Wedding plans are going well, except they've reached a stalling point at this moment. My church voted in a new pastor, and my fiance and I wanted to give a couple weeks before springing things on him. But the one Sunday we planned on talking to him, I ended up with the flu. Then this last Sunday, he had to go pick up his wife. So hopefully we can figure out a good day to go talk to him about reserving the church.

Like I said, I ended up with the flu. That flattened me for about a week. I hated it. I lost hours at work that I really needed for the wedding budget. But maybe there was a purpose for my getting sick when I did?

I also recently put my two week notice in at the senior facility. It wasn't bringing in any hours, and I think it only a good idea to quit now since my fiance works there as well. I'm still working at the bank, of course!

Never forget that God loves you, even in the quiet days of life after the holidays. He's right there waiting for you to talk to Him about anything and everything. Won't you open up to Him?

Have a good night!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, my faithful followers! It is my hope and prayer that all of you will have an awesome and God-filled year!

Many people set resolutions that unfortunately do not get followed. My sister asked me to join her for a healthy 2013, a dessert free 2013. I didn't join haha. I feel like so many resolutions end up getting abandoned, and I definitely know that I like to have dessert every once in awhile.

I also didn't make any resolutions for this year because I am going to be busy! With babies being born, licenses to be gotten, and a wedding to plan, I have a feeling making sure I keep any resolutions would be the last thing on my mind.

But I do want you all to know that despite the busyness, I am going to try my hardest to keep up on the blog. It might happen that it drops off to only one every other week.

I am so excited for this new year! Without a doubt, this will be one of the busiest and yet most exciting year. Maybe that will change in a few years, but for now, welcoming a couple new babies into the family and becoming a wife thrills me to no end.

I can only praise God for the changes He's brought to my life. He's done some amazing things in my heart over the last year. He's opened my heart and eyes to possibilities...

I also realized how close my siblings and I have become. I asked my 16 year old sister to be my maid of honor for my wedding, and I never would have imagined 2 years ago how close we have become. Aside from one of my close friends (and of course myself!), I think she was the most excited that I got engaged a little over a week ago.

I also have to praise God that another relationship is slowly being restored. God does awesome work. After months of hurt, that all is being worked out. I love that God does some of His best work when we aren't expecting it!

Well, now that I've jumped all over the place tonight, I should close this up before I start all over again! Have a fantastic new year! Keep growing in God's love and shine His light everywhere you go!
